The pension problem

Many states are going belly up because of their pension problem. NH is no exception. Of course, it is the hapless taxpayer who will foot the bill.

Public bureaucrats, armed or otherwise, justify their government pensions by saying that they paid into it, so they are just getting their money back. If this were the case, then their money would be safe and sound in a vault somewhere. But, obviously, this is not the case, or else there would be no problem.

We could start by reducing bureaucrat salaries in the first place. The median household income in NH is $66k. Just think of that next time your you read about the absurd salaries of your town "manager" or police chief.

Government spending must be slashed. Here's a good starting point. After all, these are "public servants;" they are so generous in helping us dummies that they probably won't mind a pay cut.
