A kid brought in a couple of pocket knives and the school "locks down" for 15 minutes. Really? This is a non-event. This probably brought them in to show his friends or maybe (the horror!) carve into a government-owned tree. Yet, the public police and the public school are patting themselves on the back on how they handled this.
This is nothing but security theater: and overreaction and demonstration of government bureaucracy for no reason at all. All this does is waste money and train kids to live in a society where everything they do evokes a military response.
